Bio:The nature of this journal is adult; if you are under the legal age of consent, please go away.

RPS (real person slash)is inherently NOT TRUE. All RPS here will have its own disclaimer, but just to be perfectly clear: if you read it here and it's about a real person in the public eye, unless explicitly stated otherwise, you should assume what you read is not true. Furthermore, all characters in fictional person slash (FPS) belong to their original creators and/or owners of copywrites.

I am a single, straight American woman in her mid-twenties. I have a B.A. in history and English, and an M.A. in Creative Writing. I am currently working on a Ph.D. in Creative Writing. My slash reading began in LotR, and my interest remains there for the most part. I read both FPS and RPS of all ratings and have yet to find a squick that holds up through a well-written scenario.

This journal was originally intended as a forum for academic(ish) discussion of slash, and though it's now mostly just a place for me to post my (occasional) writings, I'm still more than willing to enter into those kinds of conversations if anyone cares too. I'm also always up for back-and-forth about writing and craft. My original profile is here.

Note: "Looking into a Void of Linguistic Indeterminacy" is the last third of a sentence in chapter one of Peter Barry's "Beginning Theory: An Introduction to Literary and Cultural Theory." Does it really have anything to do with this journal? Um. No? Yes? Maybe? It made me think of the way slash writers (slashers?) use language to disrupt realities. And I liked it. So. Yeah. Right. Carry on.
